Big things ahead...

Trends are changing, so I’m changing the reports with them. For 2027, I’m rebuilding the AIF trend framework from the ground up: less here’s a thing everyone seems to be doing, more why is this happening, where is it going and what can you actually do with it? Expect emerging aesthetics, cultural catalysts, visual direction and plenty of very specific opinions about where design is heading next.

And yes, AI has changed things. But probably not in the way everyone keeps telling me it has. When almost anything can be generated, optimised and replicated in seconds, having a point of view becomes the valuable bit. So the new reports will champion real designers, distinctive aesthetics and the people already doing interesting things with them.
